Gondik Law Speedway Pushes Season Opener and Practice Back Another Week
Gondik Law Speedway will be pushing back their 63rd Annual Season Opener and practice one more week because the track is not ready for racing with all of the rain that has hit the Northland the past two weeks and more rain projected this week.
Speedway Staff accessed the racing surface last night and it was deemed to be too soft for racing still. "We just don't want to rush things and end up with a terrible track for the drivers, who then have to wreck too much stuff to race in the ruts, or just pull off and be mad, and potentially not come back to our facility for a few weeks until the surface is fixed. Its not good for anyone starting out on the wrong foot", says Joe Stariha Owner/Promoter of GLS.
The early decision also gives teams and fans an opportunity to plan to race elsewhere early in the week.
Gondik Law Speedway will practice next Wednesday May 15th and the 63rd Annual Season Opener will be Friday May 17th. Check out www.gondiklawspeedway.com for all GLS details.
